Permaculture Calendar is the particibative work created by people interested in Permaculture.
Since the information of Permaculture is limited in Japan, practitioners take part in the illustration work to commonly share their ideas with the spirit of gift ecology.
*The calendar is in A3 size, 297mmx420mm, which is two times wider than that of A4 size(210mmx297).

1.Design and illustrations
Designing and Illustrations are mainly done by domestic Permaculture practitioners. The illustrations are collection of permaculture art and high valued permaculture reference material.
2.Calendar
Familiar Gregorian calendar is adopted.
3. 24sekki
This is the division to show the change of the season. One year is equally divided into 24 and the first day of each division is named. The naming is originated from Chinese climate and, therefore, the naming and timing does not necessarily meet Japanese climate.
4.Moon Phase
Full moon, waxing moon, new moon, and waning moon are shown.
5.High tide, low tide
High tide and low tide (Major tide and neap tide) are graphically designed.
6.Sowing / Planting Calendar
The timing for sowing vegetables ( based on the flat and warm region )
7.permaculture design principles corresponding to each illustration are indicated.
8.printing
Paper used for this calendar is sustainability oriented ”グラフィーCoC ” brand, composed with 80% of wasted paper, manade by lumber from appropriately managed forest. Printing ink is environment friendly VEGETABLE OIL INK.
